Taxi Holl digitized its vehicle fleet. With 'connect business' the Holl brothers have the highest level of transparency of their vehicle fleet thanks to the latest data generated from the vehicles. 'This optimizes our processes, reduces downtimes and saves costs,' expresses Sebastian Holl. The intelligent, timely vehicle management with reliable real-time data from the vehicles improves operational planning and thus customer service. Automated processes and the relevant vehicle parameters at a glance - these are key factors for operating efficiently in the taxi business – today and in the future. With a fleet consisting of 84 vehicles and 125 employees, the brothers Sebastian and Dirk Holl spin a big wheel. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the tendency is increasing. The majority of the fleet are Mercedes-Benz vehicles. These are activated with the Vehicle Monitoring & Maintenance service. The vehicles, that are not Mercedes-Benz vehicles, are also integrated into the web-based portal via the built-in retrofit solution – the connect business GENIUS. ‘The multi-brand solution convinced us,’ says Dirk Holl. Downtime has been reduced significantly since the use of connect business and additionally, cost of maintenance and wear repairs has decreased immensely. After all, only a ready-to-use vehicle generates revenue, which is a real competitive advantage.
With the Vehicle Monitoring & Maintenance tool, the Holl brothers act with foresight and efficiency. Whether service intervals, mileage, due maintenance dates, fuel consumption - all relevant fleet parameters are displayed in the web-based portal. For example, in the ‘contract and cost’ overview, it is possible to follow, which vehicles reach their contractually agreed mileage. Furthermore, it is possible to choose and set in the portal, about what type of events notifications should be received by e-mail. This way, Holl receives the information on time and vehicles can be exchanged or used differently at an early stage. ‘This saves us expensive additional payments at the end of the leasing contract,’ says Holl. An innovation with added value.
